I was in Sam's Club the other day and one of the vendors was selling something called Avani Dead Sea products. I have never used any Dead Sea skincare products before, but I've always been curious so I stopped to check it out. I am a big skeptic about skin product claims and have pretty much used the same cleansers, moisturizers and peels for years. I've fallen too many times for a product that promises to transform my skin, make me look younger, etc... only to be dissapointed. There are a few exceptions (products that actually do all of those wonderful things), which in my experience include Retin-A, Alpha Lipoic Acid with DMAE, Peptide anti-wrinkle creams, and Glycolic Acid (look for posts on those later.)
The Avani representative had something for sale called "Avani Skin Renewal Facial Peel" and she said that it would nearly instantly remove dead skin and impurities. She smoothed a little on the back of my hand, and in a few seconds something that looked like dead skin appeared. I was still skeptical, so she showed me that if she reapplied in the same spot, less and less "dead skin" would appear, which is what happened. It really seemed to work, so I went ahead and bought it for $39.99.
I have been using it on my face regularly and can tell that my skin is looking brighter and healthier since I started. I really do think it's removing clogged pores and impurities along with the dead skin because my skin is looking fresher and healthier. According to the website, it contains a unique combination of Natural Plant Extracts, Dead Sea Mineral Salts and Vitamin E & C. It removes dead cells, excess oils and other impurities through deep cleansing which leaves the skin nourished and feeling fresh and radiant. I spoke to a company representative in L.A. and found out that the product is made in Israel and that they actually ran out of product over the holidays because it's so popular. I also read reviews on Amazon and women gave similar reviews to mine- nearly 5 stars! I am not a skincare expert, so please check with your doctor before beginning any new skincare routine.
I was somewhat skeptical when this recommended by a friend. Now I think what did I ever do without this facial peel. This facial peel renewal is the real thing.
ReplyDeleteDiamond peel
It is amazing. I love it!
DeleteMy mother and I were at Sam's Club also and she purchased this product the other day. She called me tonight and told me she could not believe the dead skin that came off. She has tried many products before and they never did what she wanted, where this did. I just wish it wasn't so expensive so I could use it on my whole body.

ReplyDeleteI`m curious... I too got snagged by a representativd at Sam`s Club. I noticed the `dead skin` was very white colored compared to any dead skin that I`ve ever noticed (peeling from sunburn, dry knees or heels, etc.) I think the peel just peels by itself similar to rubbing dried glue between your fingers to remove it. Then after the rep applied the moistuizer and excitedly pointed out how much lighter the treated wrist was compared to my other wrist was I was really surprised - that I was supposed to be that gullible... I went over to my husband and reinacted the demonstration on him without any product - then showed him how much brighter and clearer his wrist was! Amazing! It`s because they're holding one wrist up therefore decreasing its bloodflow so that in comparison to the other hand you`ve been holding down to your side that has the natural color of a wrist that has been receiving normal bloodflow. As far as ingredients go - the botanicals and vitamins C & E are listed on the bottom of the ingredients list... meaning they are the least used ingredients( "peel"), the moisturizer is mostly mineral oil which aside from water is probably the cheapest ingredient for cosmetic companies to use. Research mineral oil... ich. IMO - rip off. Especially for the price. If you want those ingredients you can buy that for less than half at a drugstore...

DeleteYou know, I was super skeptical about it when I purchased it too, and bought it anyways despite the fact that I was pretty sure that what was coming off was not dead skin. But after using it for a while now, and despite what the active ingredients might really be, I think it really is dead skin that sloughs off. I am not sure how it works, but I really have to be careful not to use it too much or my skin will look red and irritated. I use it on my face in the shower mixed with cetaphil, a very gentle cleanser, and I think the results are amazing. When I don't overuse it my skin looks great.
DeleteHey! Thanks for writing this article, I am actually a pretty big fan of Avani, but find it to be expensive for the amount you get. I have found a similar website, skin tightening which has a few useful product reviews as well. Anyway, that is all. Just wanted to share and say thanks for your post!
ReplyDeleteHi, do you still use this product? I'm studying beauty therapy and looking for different skin care ranges tot ry out. I regularly check Oz Sale to see what Beauty specials they have, and Avani is on sale at the moment. Practically the whole range - face, body and nails, not one product over $35.
ReplyDeleteAfter reading your review, it sounds like I should make an investment. Thank you.
How often should it be applied?
ReplyDeleteHow does Dead Sea products Help My Skin?Does it works for everyone?Does it worth the price? It is the same products with (http://deadseaproductstore.com )

I have used this product 3 times now and see a HUGE difference in my skin. My pores look smaller, and as I am lighter skinned my skin looks almost porcelain like. This product DOES get a bit clumpy as the one negative reviewer stated but when you rub your skin with it, there is definitely skin coming off.
ReplyDeleteI have had no adverse reaction to the peel other then some skin getting a little dry which I expected.
I looked at page after page of web sites looking for bad reviews and found only the one on this site. That leads me to believe while it may not work for everyone, it certainly works for most.Source:http://bit.ly/1kJA9rR
